She appears already registered in 1757 with the view Agustin Morell de Santa Cruz (located in the east of the west wall of earth). By Royal cell of August 16th of 1746, there was named perpetual patron to Don Alonso de Espinosa, a descendant of the founders of the chapel. By Real cell of July 17th of 1758 it was authorized to the patron to move the chapel within the walls demolishing the old factory. The second perpetual patron was Doña Barbara Rodriguez In 1755, the chapel was moved to what is now the Albear Park (Bishop and O'Relly). On April 22nd of 1836 it was asked to the bishop permission for the construction of a temple which was completed in 1843, a December 24th at a cost of $ 31 525. On February 21st of 1824 it is created a record by the Board of Police of Havana, to open the road that pass through the side of the Church (Today Galiano and 3er.
