Chinese, japanese and american colonies add to the attractions offer by the Bibijagua Beach, famous for its black sands, due to the erosive action of the sea on the marble rocks.

Besides the typical dance Sucu - sucu and the famous cave system on the beach in Punta del Este, declared a National Monument for their historical values, discovered by the French P. Freeman Lagna in 1910 (the main cave holds 235 aboriginal paintings on the walls) made it the most important of the Antilles
